The 76ers have revealed their new City Edition uniform. The new look draws its inspiration from one of Philadelphia’s favorite sons, Rocky. The grey sweatsuit coloring and texture of the uniform is meant to resemble that of both Donnie Creed’s and Rocky’s iconic training scenes. The belt trim on the shorts was inspired by Rocky’s championship belt and at the center shows off the Benjamin Franklin basketball logo. On the front of the jersey circling the players number we see a circle of stars, that is a nod to the ring that Rocky and Creed first faced off in. This uniform is a great tie to the city of Philadelphia and its Philadelphians.
