UConn Women’s Basketball Unveils New Uniforms for NCAA Tournament

As the NCAA Tournament approaches, UConn Women’s Basketball is stepping onto the court in a fresh new look. The Huskies unveiled an updated uniform set introducing modernized home and away designs while still paying tribute to the program’s rich history.

Both the home (white) and away (blue) jerseys feature a bold “UConn” wordmark across the chest, with a striking red "U" and numbers outlined in red. The trim around the collar and shoulders blends the school’s **three main colors—white, flag blue, and red—**for a cohesive, classic feel. A subtle embossed design adds an extra layer of detail, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The white shorts incorporate a thick flag blue stripe across the lower right leg, with “Huskies” placed prominently on top—a possible nod to the iconic uniforms worn in 1995, when UConn won its first national championship. The blue shorts mirror the same layout, but with a red stripe instead.

This new uniform set replaces the previous edition, which debuted in 2020 when UConn rejoined the Big East Conference. Over the years, the Huskies have shown an appreciation for their own uniform history, bringing back early-2000s throwbacks during the 2021-22 season and even making them their primary look at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Interestingly, this isn't the latest UConn has ever introduced new uniforms. Back in 1995, the Huskies famously unveiled a fresh set at the Final Four, marking a historic moment for the program.

With their legacy of excellence and a brand-new look for the postseason, UConn is ready to make another championship run—this time, in style.
