The NBA has pulled back the curtain to reveal the official courts that will set the stage for the highly anticipated inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament. Scheduled to tip off on Friday, November 3, the tournament's courts promise a distinctive and unified design scheme, making it unmistakable for fans when a game holds NBA In-Season Tournament implications.
Kicking off with a doubleheader on ESPN, the opening night will see the New York Knicks visiting the Milwaukee Bucks at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Denver Nuggets hosting the Dallas Mavericks at 10 p.m. ET.
One of the key highlights of this tournament is the courts themselves. These courts, specially designed for Group Play and the Quarterfinals, mark a bold departure from traditional NBA court aesthetics. They bear a unified look that extends league-wide.
Additionally, the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament will mark the premier appearance of an alternate court for franchises such as the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Portland Trail Blazers.
These vibrant courts showcase several unique and distinctive design details that are sure to catch the eye with Fully Painted Courts. A departure from the conventional woodgrain design, the courts boast a completely painted surface, offering a unique and bold look from edge-to-edge. Positioned prominently at center court, the larger-than-life NBA Cup acts as a focal point, effectively conveying the significance of the tournament to players and fans. Introducing a striking 16-foot wide "runway" of contrasting color spanning from lane to lane across the court. NBA Cup Silhouettes is Emblazoned within the lanes, these silhouettes serve as a testament to the tournament's importance and grandeur. the Team Logos are Prominently displayed across the NBA Cup at center court and on the baselines, ensuring the presence of team identities within the unified court design.
The NBA In-Season Tournament will begin its journey with Group Play in NBA team markets, setting the stage for an exciting and innovative chapter in the history of the NBA.
