The Kansas State Wildcats Men’s basketball team has introduced an all lavender uniform. This season’s throwback lavender look includes matching lavender shorts to complete the look. Season past we saw the team pair the lavender jersey with a darker purple pair of shorts.
The front of the jersey will read Kansas State with the players number in the middle of the two words. The jersey and shorts will feature purple and white piping throughout the look. On the front of the shorts waistband reads EMAW which stands for ‘Every Man A Wildcat’. This idea came from looking at old photo of K-State home games in Ahearn Field House.
"We have this photo in the deck of a game from the late '70s when Rolando was there and there was this great 'Every Man a Wildcat' banner up in Ahearn. I couldn't believe it went back that far. We recreated that banner for the read on the (shorts)…just trying to bring those story details into the retros to add some more layers to it." - Jason Wright Nike Designer
We will see the uniforms hit the court this weekend when they take on St. Louis.
