The US Women’s National team will compete in France for the World Cup. The team has revealed their new kits that they will wear for the historic event. The 2019 kits channel the energy of the 1999 team and all its championship glory. The all-white home kit will have a shirt that features a stripped sleeve cuff inspired by those worn by Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm and Julie Foudy, as well as three stars above the crest in honor of the USA's world titles from ’91, ’99 and 2015. We see this theme followed up on the shorts with three stars stacked on each side similar to the the single star adorning the sides of the 1999 uniform. Knit tape on the back of the neck also displays the three stars. On the back panel of the home shirt we find a tonal gray print formed from each of the 50 states, as a symbolic reminder that the United States has their back.
For the away uniform the national team will rock a red shirt and shorts with blue socks. The shirt is highlighted by an abstraction of the American flag and the three shining stars. Inner pride on the away shirt reads “One Nation, One Team.”
