Arsenals New Home Kit

Arsenal has revealed a fresh new home stripe design for their new home kits as a nod to the iconic adidas shirts of the past but with a modern twist. The new kit design for the 2019-20 home kit features a classic all-over red body, that is complimented by white sleeves and collar. The white high collar design is set with a central red stripe and black trimming. We see the design repeated on both sleeves, while the three stripes run across the shoulders in white.

New Kits for Man City

Man City has recently signed with Puma to create the team’s official kits going forward. The first kits created from the new partnership have been revealed and pay tribute to Manchester’s industrial and cultural heritage. The new kits will feature the Club’s 125th anniversary crest.

The new home kit draws its inspiration from Manchester’s industrial heritage, celebrating the true grit, fight, and character that emerged from the cotton mills of Manchester. We see woven jacquard wave pattern, running through the shirt, to serve as a visual representation of the looms which were part of the industrial revolution in Manchester. The kit stays true with Man City’s iconic City blue color and highlighted with purple. The purple color was previously used in the club’s away kits, and will be used on the Home jersey for the first time.

The new away kit looks to celebrate the city’s “Madchester” years, a period in the late 80s and early 90s that was full of extraordinary cultural activity. The kit draws direct inspiration from a former nightclub, The Haçienda, which was once the go to place for emerging music, bands, DJs, and artists. The kit uses black as the base, while featuring yellow stripes on the left shoulder as a reference to The Haçienda’s iconic graphic identity. There will also be peach and City blue colors used to represent the legendary cultural icon that was the heartbeat of the city.

“The partnership between Manchester City and PUMA goes beyond football. We want the club’s global fans and local Mancunians to all feel invested in this, and it starts with combining our very creative kit designs with authentic stories from Manchester’s history and music scene,” -Adam Petrick, PUMA’s Global Brand Marketing Director.

When you play for this Club, you join a family and players do realize that this is not just an ordinary Football Club, this is a great Football Club, with a great history, and the shirt represents just that.” -Club captain Mark Noble
