The Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds we play in this year’s Field of Dreams game. Both teams will have special vintage uniforms for the matchup.
The Chicago Cubs will wear cream-colored jerseys that feature a throwback logo, that was used by the team from 1927-36. Chicago will wear navy caps featuring the same bear cub logo on the front. The team wore that same style of cap during the 1914 season.
The Cincinnati Reds will wear replica threads of their 1919 uniforms, commemorating the team’s World Series victory over the White Sox. The look features a white uniform with pinstripes throughout.
The Cubs and Reds are set to play on Thursday at 7:15pm ET in Dyersville, Iowa, where the movie Field of Dreams was filmed.
The Durham Bulls will be bringing back their Bull Sharks uniform. The special look features Bull Sharks across the chest of the jersey with an under water ocean image on the entire jersey. The hats feature the Durham D with a shark bite taken out of it and the Bull Shark mascot swimming through it.
The Bulls will wear the special look on Saturday, August 13th.
The 2022 MLB Derby Chain has been revealed. The chain serves as the trophy given to the top Home Run hitter in the Home Run Derby. The special chain features ‘Derby Chain’ in a wavy font sitting on top of a baseball wearing a crown. The whole piece is iced out with stones to make this a one of a kind piece for the winner.
The 2022 MLB All-Star game jerseys have been released. The National League players will have a white based jersey, while the American League players will wear a dark gray jersey. The specific team marks will appear across the chest of the jersey with the NL team’s wearing the typical home logo and the AL team’s wearing their typical away logo. The logos will appear in a gold coloring meant to mimic that of the gold sheen from the Hollywood award shows. On the right sleeve the 2022 All-Star Game logo will be placed and a star patch will be on the left sleeve. The backs of the jerseys will feature the player’s name and number in the same gold coloring and a standard font for all.
The San Diego Padres have released their special City Connect uniform. The colorful look is a nod to the coastal community within the San Diego and Baja California areas. Across the chest of the jersey reads San Diego in a special font inspired by weathered beach signs found in Southern California in a split green and pink colorway. The hats for the uniform are a sea-foam green with the SD logo in pink on the front. The white pants feature a pink stripe on the right side and a green stripe on the left. The socks finish off the look with a green, gold and pink colorway featuring, pink silhouette of palm trees, the Padres SD logo and the special San Diego script.

The Padres will debut the city connect uniform on July 8th at home vs the San Francisco Giants and then each Friday home game for the remainder of the season.
The 2022 MLB All-Star game will be in Los Angeles and the hats each all-star will wear are meant to mimic the bright lights of Hollywood. The black trucker style hats will feature the team logo on the front in black and gold. On the right side will be the ASG 2022 logo. On the front with the team logo is a star placed near the logo and finishing off the details is a gold palm leaf undervisor.
The 2022 MLB 4th of July hats have been released. The look this years features a splash of star-spangled on the front panels with the team logo in navy, white and red. The rest of the hat is either red or navy and each team had their choice of picking the color with 16 teams choosing navy and 14 taking the red option.
The Milwaukee Brewers have reveled their special City Connect uniform. The powder blue jerseys and hats are a nod to the summer sky in Milwaukee, as well as uniforms from the past. Yellow and navy are featured as accent colors, giving a colorway that pays tribute to the People’s Flag of Milwaukee. Across the chest of the jersey is a tribute to the fans with ‘Brew Crew’ in a custom font that draws inspiration from the industrial roots of the city with a nod to the recent cultural renaissance. On the front of the hat and above the jock tag is a new mark that combines the 414 area code and MKE airport abbreviation.
On the sleeve is special grill inspired patch with baseball stitching, as a celebration of the rich grilling and tailgating tradition of Wisconsinites during the summer. The final touch comes on the sleeves piping paying tribute to the city’s brewing tradition with yellow and white piping as a representation of a beer’s foam head.
The Brewers will wear their City Connect uniform most Friday Home games and every Community Night game this season.
The 2022 MLB Father’s Day hats have been released. This year’s look features a graphite grey hat with a tie-dyed powder blue logo trimmed in silver on the crown of the cap. The undervisor features the same tie-dye powder blue design.
The Los Angeles Angels have released their special City Connect uniform. The design inspiration tapped into the rich history of surfing in the area with the vintage surf style lettering, numbers and stripes. Across the chest of the jersey is Angles spelled out in a special surf style script font. Under the script lettering is the player number inspired by the font seen on the California lifeguard towers, and is set in a diamond similar to local vintage surf brands.
On the left sleeve two red stripes wrap around it with one thick and the other thin, paying homage to the old school surfboard designs. The finishing touch comes above the jock tag with a red surfboard as “a reminder to keep paddling”.
