The San Diego Padres have released their special City Connect uniform. The colorful look is a nod to the coastal community within the San Diego and Baja California areas. Across the chest of the jersey reads San Diego in a special font inspired by weathered beach signs found in Southern California in a split green and pink colorway. The hats for the uniform are a sea-foam green with the SD logo in pink on the front.
The white pants feature a pink stripe on the right side and a green stripe on the left. The socks finish off the look with a green, gold and pink colorway featuring, pink silhouette of palm trees, the Padres SD logo and the special San Diego script.
“The uniform’s bold colours and decorative details depict the radiant artwork that is prominent within our shared culture. The Padres are proud of our binational fan base and the region we all call home … Every day, thousands journey between San Diego and Tijuana to live and work—and the result is a city like no other, with some of the most passionate baseball fans on either side of the border.” - Padres
The Padres will debut the city connect uniform on July 8th at home vs the San Francisco Giants and then each Friday home game for the remainder of the season.
