The Kansas City Royals have released their new look for their 2022 uniform lineup with an ode to the traditions of the past. We see the return and inspiration of the 1990s in the new look for the Royals.
The gray uniform with Kansas City across the chest in block letter will serve as the team’s primary road uniform. The alternate look for the road uniform will be the darker blue jersey with the Kansas City block lettering.
The Home primary uniform will be a familiar look with the white jersey featuring the Royals script with a bolder sleeve stripe and all lettering without an outline. The Powder blues will serve as the team’s home alternate look and have the Royals across the chest in all white.
“We’re excited to introduce to our fans, our new uniform set for the 2022 season. These updates reflect fresh variations on our brand esthetic, that generations of Royals fans have come to identify with, while also offering newer classic looks to the overall uniform set. We see these as an ode to the traditions of the past yet refined and updated for inspiration of what’s to come.”- Royals Vice President/Major League Team Operations Jeff Davenport
