The Kansas Jayhawks will take the field this week vs in-state rival Kansas State in a special uniform. The team will wear a student-athlete designed #OneTeam jersey. The jersey, which was specifically designed by KU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), is meant to show support to the #OneTeam initiative which began back in 2017. The mission of #OneTeam campaign is to celebrate diversity within the Kansas’ student-athlete body.
The alternate look features a grey jersey with with white numbers outlined in blue and red. Across the chest reads Kansas in red along with one red and one blue sleeve with the player’s number on them.
“#OneTeam represents the notion that while there are many student-athletes from different backgrounds, countries and different sports that at the end of the day, we are all one team at the University of Kansas. We wanted #OneTeam to embody our differences, so as a whole we are stronger and can support one another.” -then-SAAC president Casey Douglas
