The Browns have officially revealed their special throwback uniform for the upcoming season. The look will be a 1946 throwback that is a celebration of the team’s season-long 75th anniversary. The white jersey features the traditional Browns stripes on the sleeve with brown numbers that have an orange drop shadow, reminiscent of the jerseys worn in the team’s first season. On the left chest area will be a special patch that is the shape of a football with 1946 written in it.
The white pants will have a solid brown stripe in between two orange stripes. The finishing touch will come with the helmet that will feature a white stripe down the center with the players number on each side and a gray facemask.
“We spent a lot of time going back and looking at old photos and the history of the team and working with our friends at Nike and the NFL to put this all together. At the end of the day, like we said when we went back to the uniforms we’re currently wearing, we wanted something clean, iconic, traditional, and something that would honor the team and represent it appropriately.” - Browns executive vice president and co-owner J.W. Johnson
