Boise State Unveils Refreshed Uniforms for 2024 Season
Boise State has revealed its refreshed uniforms for the 2024 season. Alongside the new uniform style, Boise State has also announced the color combinations fans can expect the football team to wear for each game this season, as well as the coordinated fan colors.
The Broncos will sport uniforms from the state-of-the-art Nike Vapor F.U.S.E (Field Utility Special Edition) line, which combines lightweight fabric technology and research-backed innovation with a precision fit for ultimate performance on the field. Players have already noticed a significant difference from last year’s uniforms, citing the improved lightweight fabric and snug fit.
Several updates have been made to the uniforms to enhance both aesthetics and functionality:
Increased Font Size: The "Boise State" font on the front of the jersey is slightly larger, approximately 1/8 inch.
Larger Script on Pants: The "Broncos" script on the pants is slightly larger and longer, approximately 1/8 inch.
Shoulder Stripe Adjustment: The shoulder stripes, previously applied at an angle, now surround the arm.
Color Reversal: The colors of the shoulder stripes have been reversed compared to the 2023 uniforms.
Shoulder Numbers: For the first time since 2006, jersey numbers have been added to the top of the shoulder.
The design elements from previous uniforms remain, including the blue collar featuring the wordmark “Blue Collar” on each jersey.
Boise State, with the sixth-best all-time winning percentage (.725) among all FBS programs, has based its refreshed uniform design on maintaining the consistency and tradition that have contributed to their impressive record. Since 2000, no western team has come close to matching Boise State’s 249 wins.
Jeramiah Dickey, Boise State's Athletic Director, emphasized the importance of retaining the traditional look established in their previous design, including the all-blue look and the Dark Mode concept. He also mentioned the possibility of using different combinations, including a retro throwback of blue helmets, orange jerseys, and blue pants reminiscent of the Dirk Koetter era. The team has worked closely with EA Sports to ensure the updated look and combinations will be available in the new College Football 25 game.
For the 2024 season, the Broncos have blue, orange, white, and black jerseys, pants, and helmets, creating 64 different possible combinations.
