Arizona Coyotes 'Desert Night' Uniform
The Arizona Coyotes have revealed a new third look for the team. The new jersey was designed by Coyotes Creative Strategist and Global Fashion Designer Rhuigi Villaseñor. Villaseñor, the founder and creative director of Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Rhude.
THe Burgundy colored jersey features a cursive Arizona in a special sand colorway across the chest. A shooting star dots the i and represents the desert night when Coyotes hunt. The edges of the wordmark has an irregular outline and raw edge meant to emphasizes the rough and raw desert.
The numbers and name bar will be in the sand-color to match the sand-colored Kachina striping on the sleeves and socks. A small geckos is found inside the collar of the jersey, a tribute to the gecko shoulder patch from the Coyotes original green third jersey and the current Reverse Retro jersey. The Coyotes players will wear burgundy helmets and gloves to finish off the look.
"My inspiration for the third jersey came from the environment, the community, the colors, and the clay - roots of the AZ Culture. I feel honored to pioneer with the Coyotes the reimagining of the sport alongside culture and design," - Villaseñor.
