Air Force football has revealed this season’s Air Power Legacy Series uniform. The look this year pays tribute to the Space Force. The helmet feature a gradient coloring meant to mimic coming into light. On the top are two lightning bolts that represent the dominance, quick strike and precision, a shared image between the USAF and USSF. The front bumper feature the roman numerals MMXIX representing the year the USSF was established: 2019. The back bumper will features four different core values of the space force with Courage, Commitment, Connection or Character.
The special jerseys will have patches from several operational deltas at Buckley and Peterson-Shriever space forces bases located on the left shoulder. On the backs in the name plate area each jersey will have the USSF motto ‘Semper Supra’ meaning Always Above. A special fusing of the AF Athletics mark and the Polaris star and orbit will be located on the center neck of the jersey and right hip of the pants. The finishing touch on the pants comes with USSF displayed vertically on each leg.
We will see Air Force wear these special APLS uniforms on October 1st when they take on Navy.
