Air Force football has revealed their 2019 Air Power Legacy Series for the 2019-20 season. The uniform will honor the C-17 aircraft, which is a large military transport.
The helmet comes in with a flat gray color and designed after the nose of the plane. The gray uniform will have black lettering and feature nine different Air Force base tail flashes in the place of the players nameplate on the backs of the jerseys. The nine bases that will be featured are Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey, March Air Reserve Base, California, Travis Air Force Base, California, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
This years uni will be the first to utilize reflective material which is on the side of the aircraft. The uniform has reflective material on the helmet and shoulders, sides of the jersey and side of the pants.
The team will wear special uniforms honoring the C-17 for the Hawaii game, Oct. 19.
