The University of Florida will wear retro uniforms this week vs Auburn that feature blue jerseys, white pants, black shoes and white helmets with an "F" on the sides. The look will honor the uniforms worn during Steve Spurrier’s playing day in the 1960s.
The helmet for the throwback look will be a white shell with a grey facemask. A solid orange strip will run down the middle, while the block “F” in the circle decal will be on either side, and to finish it off the CFB 150 logo will be on the bumper of the helmet. The blue jersey is from when Steve Spurrier played quarterback for the Gators and won the Heisman Trophy in 1966. The jersey features a bold over the shoulder orange & white stripe. This marks the first time we will see the Gators in this jersey since the game on Sept. 30, 2006. The pants will be a white base with an orange and blue stripe down each leg. To finish off the look the Gators will wear crew socks that include a blue stripe at the top and black cleats with white shoelaces.
