The Arizona State Hockey team has introduced special 1975 throwback uniforms. The jerseys feature the sunburst ASU logo on the chest as nod to the 1975 undefeated Sun Devil Football team. On the shoulders of the jersey an ode to sparky is found with a special Sparky patch. The numbering on the jersey features a perforated style to match the old school mess football jerseys. The final nod comes on the helmets for each player, with the Sunburst decal being purposely mismatched in coloring of the helmet to maintain historical accuracy with the football helmets that were worn in the 1975.

The uniform will feature the new eye catching color, skyline green that draws its inspiration from the Dallas skyline. The front of the jersey will have the Dallas Stars logo in the skyline green with bold stripes on the sleeves and hem, that stay true to the traditional home jersey pattern. The numbers will be in stealth as they are primarily black with a skyline green outline. To finish off the look the team will wear black helmets, pants and gloves that have the skyline green worked in to them.
"The jersey design committee was tasked with finding a way to incorporate the heart of the city of Dallas and the spirit of Texas into a uniform. Today is an exciting day as we have worked hard over the last two years at creating a third jersey that will make our fanbase proud, and with the help of adidas Hockey, we feel like the Blackout third jersey will do just that. The Dallas skyline is iconic and introducing Skyline Green into our uniforms is a vibrant reminder our great city."- Dallas Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts

For the 2020-21 season the Senators will not have a third jersey option.
“The most striking change is the black jersey. I was just down in the dressing room because we hung some of them up for the reveal and it looks pretty sharp. It’s just a great logo and it’s a classic logo. The 3D is kind of nouveau and that’s what we heard from the fans is that they like the classic look of the 2D logo. And, the organization listened to the fan base.” - Anthony LeBlanc
The Calgary Flames will go full retro for the upcoming season and going forward. The team has moved their previous alternate jersey that was the red retro look from ‘80s to their primary red home jersey. The white Heritage Classic jersey will now be the team’s official away jersey. The team’s final move will be taking their current home jerseys that feature the black-crested Flaming C and moving them into their alternate jersey slot. The finishing touch will be the team moving its primary branding back to their original color scheme of red, yellow and white and removing the black accents.
"Since re-introducing the retro look in alternate jerseys back in 2009, we've heard the feedback from a large portion of our fan base. They love the original look and really wanted us to return to it. It took a while to get all the pieces in place to make it happen. Adding the retro inspired Heritage Classic white jersey last season was the final piece of the puzzle and the time has finally arrived where we can deliver to the fans what they've always wanted - for us to go full retro." -Flames Director of Marketing Ryan Popowich

The Buffalo Sabres have announced their return to royal. The goal with the new uniforms was to pay respect to the team’s heritage with a modern look to carry them into the future.
The inner neck of the jersey pays homage to the city of Buffalo with the city’s official crest being displayed. The uniforms will feature a new striping pattern that received its inspiration from the previous stripes but with the addition of some white pipping on top of the gold stripes. The crest is front and center of the jersey and has been simplified from the original by the removal of the silver accents.

The Seattle Kraken will be the NHL’s 32nd club. The team unveiled their new logos that feature two marks, the Kraken S and the Space Needle Anchor, along with the official wordmark. The team will have three different blues to work with as well as touch of red. The S logo was inspired by the Seattle Metropolitans of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association from 1915-1924.
“We went through a lot of iterations with Adidas. The colors are quite unique. You’ll see a bit of the Mariners and a bit of the Seahawks. There are no teams in the NHL — I think Edmonton has one jersey that has this type of blue in it — that have this as their main colors. But there are seven teams in the NHL that have the same red. So, it was kind of difficult to go in that direction.” -NHL Seattle minority owner Mitch Garber

On the front of the jersey is a new LA crest that is angled upwards and inspired by the aircraft’s battle stripes. The special font and numbering was drawn from the architecture of the venue's Air Force Academy, as well as the pilot's ambition to push to the edge. On inside of the neckline of the jersey is a checkerboard pattern with Kings written in the special font.
