Arizona football unveils alternate helmets
The Block A has long been the most recognizable symbol of the University of Arizona, adorning the football helmets for more than 30 years, regardless of whether the shell was red, white, blue, or even copper. This fall, however, the Wildcats are shaking things up with an alternate helmet that steps away from the iconic logo.
The new white helmet features a bold ‘Cats’ in red script on both sides, a departure from the traditional Block A. Additionally, the helmet sports red chrome face masks, replacing the previous blue ones. The design is completed with red and blue stripes running from the front to the back over the top of the helmet.
This fresh look promises to add a new layer of excitement to the 2024 season, reflecting the team’s dynamic spirit and rich heritage.
