Potential NFL Helmet Rule Change
The NFL could potentially change the current helmet rule that is in place. Since the 2013 season, the NFL has had a rule in place that limits each teams to using only one helmet shell per season. The rule was put in place as part of the Leagues efforts to protect the players from head and neck injuries. Buccaneers Head Coach Bruce Arians recently was quoted saying the NFL may be changing their Helmet rule starting in the 2021 season. If so this would allow teams like the Buccaneers to bring back their popular Creamsicle uniform that have a white helmet to complete the look.
