ARMY "10TH MOUNTAIN DIVISION" UNIFORMS
Army's 2017 Army vs Navy game uniforms will honor the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division. The specialty of the 10th Mountain Division is to conquer the land. They fight on the harshest terrain, in any climate, anywhere in the world, to protect and defend the United States of America. They honor the past by re-telling the story of the “Climb to Glory.
The team will wear an all-white uniform to honor the white camo the 10th Mountain Division would wear. The whitewashed helmet was created to mimic the soldier's weathered painted helmets. The team will rock the Pando Commando Patch; the panda bear is the mascot of Camp Hale, Colorado. This logo will be found on the baselayer and cleats.
On the front of the helmets the crossed skies insignia is found and the "Follow Me" bar on the backs. During WWII officers would wear vertical bars on the back of their helmets to identify themselves the leaders.
Army will also honor many of the division's organic units such as the 85th, 86th, and 87th Mountain Infantry Regiments, and the 126th Mountain Engineer Battalion with patches on the right chest plate.
